MUSTARD CHICKEN
INGREDIENTS
- 1 chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 and half teaspoon mustard (raai) powder
- 1 and half heaped tablespoons ginger/garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin (jeera) powder
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2-3 onions sliced and fried till golden brown
- 1 and half cups of yogurt approx.
- oil
- salt to taste
METHOD
- Crush half of the fried onions.
- Add more if you want more gravy.
- Beat yogurt and add all ingredients except for oil.
- Marinate chicken.
- The yogurt should be covering the chicken.
- Marinate for 2-3 hours.
- Add a little oil and mix.
- Heat oil in pot.
- Add chicken and cook till tender.
- Fry a little, but not so much to dry the gravy.
- Garnish with the remaining fried onion and serve with hot chapatis.
